Over the last few months, we have been working with this sentence from Virginia Woolf’s The Waves or maybe it has been working with us or probably we have been working with each other. There is such a strong reverberance towards these moments in which the walls of the mind grow thin, somewhere where the distinction between inside and outside is becoming obscured and messy. The mind that extends into the relational, the objects that become part of the cognitive, the thought that moves through and with the world. The separation between the mind, body and the environment is starting to elude. When nothing is unabsorbed - an immersive modality but inverted where everything matters and is moved. The bubble - as much abstract as concrete - is inviting the imaginary outside of the outside; towards a becoming disentangled from the normative and structures that are held in place by the weight of the present.
